Calling all Angels!

Note from Rev. Teri Hood - Calling All Angels. Last week I got the news that I have breast cancer. I walked through so much shock, greif, despair and anger. In this process there is a point where you get to choose to surrender to Love and acceptance to what is. Believe me it is not one or the other, I am allowing what ever precious emotion needs to be heard and expressed. Today I am choosing to let hope's wings wrap around me. I have finally given permission for God's angels to get to work (that is what is already happening, my head just had to catch up with everything). I am ready for this wild rollercoaster ride because I have your love as my seat belt. I can do anything because you love me. I truly belong to God. Heaven is being brought closer to earth everytime we surrender to love being who we are, simply God's precious breath of light. I have so much more in me to give, to love, to create. Surrender is not giving up, my vunerability is my strength and I am going to fly through this, carried on the angel wings of courage and your prayers.

There is always a gift in every moment, every situation and I keep thinking this is happening just so I can accept more Love. It is easy to forget how loveable we are and just keep moving so fast in our lives, in survival mode. I can't explain how much I am touched by my humanity and how lovable I am. A life challenging health crisis has pushed me to reprioritize. Love is all there is and I want to be fully present in every moment to give it, receive it, be it. This is the only reason for any existance, any life...to Love!

Alot of you knew, before this health challenge I was planning a relocation adventure to Byron Bay, Australia. I still can feel the ocean mist on my face and feel my body relaxed and healed sitting on the beach just filled with so much peace. I am not going to let this one go! It is just postponed a bit. Now I will be there with a new bikini, and lots more attention (because of my new beautiful generous BIG "C" twins).

I received alot of hope from the last doctor that I visited, the Naturopath. There are many alternative healing modalities through this process, and especially in conjuction with chemotherapy if needed. This is not covered by health insurance and very expensive. With my large deductable this will be very challenging because I also decided to sell my business as of August 1st. I will not have an income. I decided it was the best decision to have a healing process that is agenda and stress free. My friends are willing to help me do a fundraiser. I was already having a second estate sale for my move to down unda' and I wanted to ask if anyone wants to donate any new or used items to include in the sale. I will schedule sale for the early or mid October. If you want to donate anything, drop off by end of Sept. @ my house or send to.......

Thank you for allowing me to share this process with you. I just didn't want to miss any opportunity to connect heart to heart and to ask for so much help with your prayers for perfect health for all of us, loving you as my own loveable self,

As you probably noticed, many of our beautiful tall trees are in the process of being trimmed. The two employee parking lots will be closed on Friday to allow the trimming vehicles to get close to the trees to trim them. I am sure everyone will notice our lovely trees now trimmed and beautiful.

ADOT SR 179 construction update for week of July 20, 2009

Sedona, AZ - (July 17, 2009) - Crews are examining how to remove an underground section of the old bridge abutment near Tlaquepaque in the most cost effective and environmentally sensitive way. There will be no visible work on the new bridge above ground while this work is being done. The bridge is still on schedule to be completed by the end of 2009 or early 2010.

Traffic Shift between Bowstring Drive and Morgan Road

Traffic will be shifted to the east between Bowstring Drive and Morgan Road on SR 179. Please drive carefully and follow all traffic control devices. Bowstring Drive is now open.

Pedestrian Bridge Open at Oak Creek

The pedestrian bridge is complete. A temporary access to the pedestrian bridge remains open to the public. Please note that this access may be restricted due to final sidewalk, wall and roadway bridge construction at various times through the remainder of the year.

Landscaping Activities Through Business District

The landscape contractor, Recon, has begun landscape activities from the Y intersection to south of Ranger Road and near the Inn at Oak Creek to Canyon Drive. Please note the first work will involve placement of the irrigation system and removal of weeds. Actual plant and rock mulch placement will occur in a few months.

New Lights installed on Outer Tlaquepaque Wall

If any of you have driven by Tlaquepaque in the evenings, you will notice that there have been new lights installed on the outer wall. The lights are bright and reflect on signage on the outer wall which allow visitors to see that Tlaquepaque offers shops, galleries and restaurants to one and all. The soft color shines throughout the night and invites visitors to explore Tlaquepaque.

New Signage at Center Entrance

A new sign has been installed at the center archway into Tlaquepaque Village. Since this entry is now pedestrians only, a sign has been installed in the middle of the driveway to prevent cars from driving through this entrance. The archway is a wonderful introduction to Tlaquepaque and contains plants and decorations complimenting the outer wall. Visitors entering Tlaquepaque via the Road Runner will now walk down this driveway into our village.

Weekend Activities

We witnessed many visitors and families at Tlaquepaque over the 4th of July weekend. Although there was a threat of thunderstorms, people came out to play and hear music, to eat and shop. The Patio de las Campanas had a nice crowd in the afternoon. Magical Michael Steele was having a YoYo display and teaching children how to do fancy tricks with their YoYo's.

Visitors enjoyed drinks on the Patio by El Rincon. Many folks just rested by the fountains.

In the Patio del Norte, a crowd congregated around the fountain listening to Hector playing his South American Flutes. It was a great Saturday at Tlaquepaque.
