Paving Near San MiguelPaving is scheduled to occur next Tuesday and Wednesday near San Miguel. This will allow the contractor to shift traffic to the east side, so that work can begin along the west side of the road. Please exercise caution as trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone.
Oak Creek Bridge First Phase Demolition CompleteThe drilling of shafts is scheduled to start on Monday near Tlaquepaque for the construction of abutment 1 and continuation of pier 2 construction. This was made possible by the demolition of 13 feet of the existing bridge that took place last week.
The site preparation and subsequent drilling will be done near the southwest corner of the bridge. Most of this work will be performed during the day, however night work may be necessary to minimize daytime traffic impacts. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
Filling Median Islands (Back O Beyond to Chapel Road - Continues)With the median islands constructed, crews have begun to fill the centers with dirt. The dirt being used has been salvaged from another part of the project and is suitable for future landscaping.
Utility Work (Oak Creek Cliffs to San Miguel - Continues)Installation of the final section of the San Miguel Drive water line will begin Tuesday. Minor traffic impacts will occur.
