Please recycle at Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque has been recycling cardboard, paper, glass, plastic and cans for more than a year. Why is that we are still seeing cardboard and magazines in our dumpsters? Come on - let's all join together and make Tlaquepaque a Green Center. Pleae do not place cardboard or magazines and paper in the dumpsters. If you do, these items will sit in a landfill for 100 years or more! Do the right thing and place these items in the recycling bins located creekside behind El Rincon.

If we all do our share, we will help improve our earth and our green footprint. There is no reason that these items cannot be reused for other products. Thank you.

Tlaquepaque Employee Permits

We have noticed recently that vehicles owned by Tlaquepaque Employees and Owners have not been displaying the Tlaquepaque Parking Permit on their rear view mirror. This system helps us identify vehicles parked in the Tlaquepaque lots.

Last week there was a large event at Los Abrigados Resort and many of their employees were parking in our parking lots. We were unable to identify vehicles that were owned by Tlaquepaque employees so many of the cars were stickered. It is for the good of the center that ALL vehicles owned by Tlaquepaque Owners and Employees have the Tlaquepaque Parking Permit on display. This is a mandatory program and we need your help in enforcing it.

If you do not have a parking pass, please stop by the office and ask for a permit application. Your vehicle information will then be placed in our data base so we will know that the vehicle is parked in the correct location. If you do not have a parking pass on display, you will receive a sticker.

Yesterday we walked through the employee parking lot and more than half of the cars did not have a parking pass on display. Please cooperate with this progam and help us keep the parking spaces for our employees. Now that Spring Break is here, it is very important that everyone park in the employee parking lot so we will have space for our shoppers.

AAA Travel Agents Visiting Tlaquepaque

A group of AAA Travel Agents will be visiting Tlaquepaque on Sunday, April 19. They will be taking a Pink Jeep Tour and then will stop by the Oak Creek Brewery and Grill for lunch at 1:00pm. This trip is sponsored by Wendy Lippman at Tlaquepaque and the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and we are happy that they will be able to visit Tlaquepaque.

Julie Willliams promoted to Director of Mountain Trails Gallery

Julie Williams has been promoted to Director of Mountain Trails Gallery. Julie is a seventeen year resident of Sedona and has worked at Mountain Trails Gallery since 1992 with the exception of a six year hiatus when she welcomed my two daughters into the world.
Before coming to Sedona, Julie worked in hotel management at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City where she met her husband.

While on their honeymoon they visited Sedona and like so many before and after them, decided to make Sedona their home. Julie has had the privilege of being a part of the vibrant art community in Sedona under the guidance of both Ken Payne, founder of Mountain Trails Galleries and her dear friend, Vonne Battistini. She is looking forward to continuing to promote the fine artists at Mountain Trails Gallery, beautiful Tlaquepaque, and Sedona as an art destination.

Sedona Offroad Adventures who operates the Tlaquepaque Information Booth would like everyone to know that they are now selling Sedona Postcards, various books on Sedona and sunglasses. This is a welcome addition to the Tlaquepaque village. Many times our visitors ask where they can purchase these items and now we can direct them to the booth operated by Sedona Offroad Adventures.
